Adult eye exams
A comprehensive exam checks your prescription and the health of your eyes. Come in promptly for sudden or persistent changes such as blurry vision, eye pain or redness.
Children's eye exams
Children may not be able to tell you their vision is not right. Routine exams catch nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism early, before reading and schoolwork suffer.
Myopia control
Ways to slow nearsightedness in children and adolescents: more time outdoors, good visual habits, specialty glasses lenses, soft or Ortho-K contact lenses and low-dose atropine drops.
Lenses and eyewear
Contact lens exams and fittings
We talk through how often you plan to wear lenses and check for conditions such as dry eye, then find the right fit, including toric lenses for astigmatism or multifocals.
Laser eye surgery consultations
Before surgery we evaluate your eye health, corneal thickness and how stable your vision is, set out the risks and realistic outcomes, discuss alternatives and provide follow-up care.

Who we are
Three optometrists, one family clinic.
Dr. Trinh, Dr. Wong and Dr. Chim all trained at the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Wong grew up here in Markham, and thoroughly enjoys caring for her patients' visual health and seeing families grow at Heritage Eye Care.
Dr. T. Minh Trinh
OptometristOriginally from Edmonton. Studied at the University of Alberta, then the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo, with an externship at Ophthalmic Consultant Centres in Mississauga.
Dr. Winnie W. Wong
OptometristGrew up in Markham. Studied science and optometry at the University of Waterloo, and went to Merida, Mexico with a team of optometrists to provide free eye care and spectacles.
Dr. Karen Chim
OptometristGrew up in Toronto and remembers getting her first pair of glasses at seven. Graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2000 with Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees.
